Ukraine Charity Endurance Race

Had a great evening as ever at Brentwood Karting, taking part in a 90 minute Charity Endurance Race in aid of the Red Cross Ukraine Appeal. 149 laps completed and taking 2nd on the night raising just under £2,000 for this great cause.

I was tasked with completing our 10 minute qualifying session and claimed pole position with a 34.159 (a new PB for me). Naturally Dan threw a curveball at us and decided to reverse the grid so we started at the very back of the grid in P18. I had a great start and quickly made my way through the pack, all of my Thursday night practices starting from the back of the grid served me well.

I was leading the race and pulled a comfortable 8 second when a red flag come out & stopped the race. At the restart we had a formation lap and racing was back under way. I put in a great performance and again set another new PB for me 34.104, handing the second stint over to Mikey with a great lead.

Coming out of the pit lane we still held the lead and Mikey did a great job contending with traffic and continuously put in solid laps. Once his stint was over, he handed over to Ethan for the final stint who bought the kart safely home to secure P2.

Well done to everyone that took part, it was a great cause where we raised lots of money for a great cause. Big thanks to Brentwood Karting for arranging another fantastic event.
